ALL ABOUT US

My name is Rachel and at present I am the sole worker and director of Mobile Pet Services. We are into our 4th year of business, and we now have a rapidly growing client list.

I have spent many years in the past looking after various different species of animals with all sorts of jobs, but then I had time off to start a family and finding work again became difficult.

We all know animals do not fall in line with normal work hours, so it was no surprise when I started to look for work with animals, none of the jobs I applied for fitted in with school hours. I tried animal shelters, kennels, and stables. But as soon as I mentioned children you could see they had lost interest.

I had all but given up in finding a job I knew I would love, when my husband suggested I go self employed. I had often dreamt of this before but never had the support to actually go for it. It was a big step to take and into unknown territory, but in the spring of 2007 Mobile Pet Services was born.

My hours are as flexible as I want them to be.    Every day is different, and I get to meet new friends in people and pets.

This is not necessarily a profitable job, anything with animals rarely is, but it is a job I have done my whole working career, and one I love. One day I hope to be in a position to employ other like minded animal lovers who will help improve our services at M-Pets.

A huge thank you goes out to my husband Andy for giving me the confidence to get this far, and for his work on the  website. And thank you to my clients, for their trust and making Mobile Pet Services a dream come true.
